As members of the S.A.F.E Housing Network BTW will provide women with safe housing, assists with re-establishing community connections and create a holistic environment that allows them to heal from trauma. This enables women to connect with dreams and aspirations of the past while working toward a better future.
The act of gardening can have a healing effect in many ways, including lowering stress, creating a sense of fulfillment and generally promoting peace of mind. This hydroponic garden will be a vital part in the holistic reentry process in our S.A.F.E House.
The Fully Free Campaign works to dismantle the laws and regulations that govern permanent punishments, which are the barriers that deny or restrict rights and opportunities for people with a record -- long after their involvement with the criminal legal system is over.
There is a huge divide amongst our Southern Illinois Communities. This has led to increased gun violence within several of the local towns. Now is the time to connect people with positive resources for a better community and bridge the divide. BTW is among this grassroots coalition to provide gender specific resources for those impacted by the justice system that have fallen through the cracks.
